If you can look back to 1985, where a gallon of gas cost $1.09 and Michael Jordan was named NBA’s Rookie of the Year, you are seeing the year that Mark Mularski launched Elite Heating & Air Conditioning.
After 10 years of working in the HVAC field while attending Carrier School in the evenings, it was time for a new beginning. As our young group (Mark Mularski, Marlene Mularski, and our very first employee-Cliff Lavelle) sat around the dining room table brainstorming company names, Elite was suggested by Cliff. It stuck. Through this one word “Elite” a universal word that everyone can understand but, more importantly, the meaning behind this one word describes the work ethic of our company--attention to detail and giving your best self to every customer. So when we complete that service call or job, you know that your customer was given outstanding service, no corners are cut. As Mark puts it, “Treat each customer as if it was your own Mom.”
We incorporated in 1987, and have established ourselves as a small mechanical contractor with installation as our niche along with a steadily growing full-service company with 24/7 availability for on-demand service to be readily available for our customers. We are licensed in the City of Pittsburgh and have clients in all surrounding counties. Our employees’ mechanical knowledge and ability to perform are backed by support from our long-term employees who, when combined have more than 90 years of experience in the field.
Our expertise is knowledge and hands-on experience based. We use this knowledge/experience and the priority of constant training, to successfully design, build, and diagnosis/service the customary full-system installations of air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, cooling towers and all residential HVAC equipment. As well as, commercial kitchens, building controls, ice-making equipment, and fire suppression.
Many times, clients call upon us to analyze and consult on HVAC systems that are not performing to their expectations or to present design options.
We encourage our clients to entertain a design-build project through our consulting, the benefit being a full-system design based on optimum function. With combining our design along with installation we are pro-active in meeting and/or exceeding ROI, operating costs, properly sized equipment and ductwork that maximizes performance/function according to the client’s main objectives/concerns while staying within budgetary numbers. With using the reverse concept (function over design), we eliminate ill designed systems, poor ROI, and high operating costs. Thus, our installation goes smoothly and system performance is optimized.
